At long last, a landmark publication taking stock of Bourdieu’s wide-ranging, profound impact on a variety of social science disciplines and issue areas sees the light of day, under the imprint of Oxford University Press.

It is the result of a massive collective effort, brilliantly led by Thomas Medvetz and Jeffrey J. Sallaz.

I am very proud to have contributed a chapter on how Bourdieu’s concepts have been used to analyse post-communist transformations in the former Soviet bloc.
